All of the textures & backgrounds in the previews were sampled from real pieces of wood, giving the designs a feel that is about as realistic as it gets. These effects are perfect for a variety of vintage themed projects, menus, cards, invites & loads more.
How it works –
There are two ways to use The Wood Carver:
Open one of the smart PSDs, click on a smart object layer (this will open into a new document window), paste your design into it & save.
or
Simply place text or an image onto one of the wooden background PSDs then apply one of the styles by clicking on a style icon.
Very detailed instructions are included including how to expand the styles for greater editing potential. For example how to rotate the wood texture pattern & how to change it’s color.
So, what exactly is included?
The Styles:
Using real wood textures (carved by myself!) & in 12 varieties so you can apply the styles to text, bitmap & vector images with one click. The effects used in the styles can be easily scaled & edited after application.
The Smart PSDs
Each of first four preview images have been supplied as shown. Paste your own designs straight in.
The Wooden Backgrounds:
These are the backgrounds shown in the first four previews plus two bonus ones. You’ll find them in the smart PSDs. They each measure 2320 x 1544 pixels in size.
Wood shavings & vintage chisel images:
Each is contained in a PSD – use these to add further realism to your design.
Instructions:
A very thorough guide on how to load, apply & then edit the effects is supplied. Please read carefully all the way through as it provides all the information you might need on how to load & use these effects.
