Description: Junior Ranger Font
JUNIOR RANGER is a fun, & quirky, sans-serif (uppercase) display font inspired by vintage Smokey Bear campaign pieces from the 50’s & 60’s. We developed for use in our 2019 Smokey Bear brand case study & thought it was too much fun not to share.

During our project we dug through hundreds & hundreds of documents, ads, mailers, posters, buttons, pins & more to develop a font that felt organic to the campaigns history while also helping it to be less stiff & more friendly & open. The font has fun characteristics in each letter that evoke a sense of vintage sign painters letters, as well as classic typefaces like Futura & Avenir.
