Montelago Pro was inspired by the logotype of the Mirage Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The script lettering style had such a unique & dynamic style to it, with flared out capitals & a low stance lowercase. I was drawn into the challenge of re-creating a full typeface of this style, complete with a restrained capitals version, & a flare version with true to form lengthy capitals.

Definitely a typeface with capitals to be used in moderation!

Montelago Pro combines the standard Montelago font with the Flare capitals as a swash feature & contextual alternate with OpenType functionality, an extended language character set & easier access to a handful of stylistic alternates.

WHAT’S INCLUDED:

Fonts are provided in TTF & OTF formats. Both formats function identically, so install whichever format you prefer for your needs.

Extensive language support. Sometimes the inspirations for my typefaces come from logotypes & quirky vintage ephemera. Having lived in Las Vegas, the Mirage logo is something that was begging to be made into something anyone could type with & enjoy everytime I drove by the casino. Creating this typeface came with ease & was a joy to develop. I hope you enjoy playing with it just as much as I had fun making it.
